About me

Hi, I’m Ana, and I’ve been a dedicated Children’s Nurse since 2001. My career began locally at Hemel Hempstead and Watford Hospitals, where my passion for respiratory medicine first developed. In 2003, I joined the team at Great Ormond Street Hospital in Paediatric Intensive Care, where I honed my skills in caring for critically ill children.

In 2013, I completed my Children’s Advanced Nurse Practitioner course at Great Ormond Street, which led to my transition from Intensive Care to managing the respiratory ward. I later became a Respiratory Clinical Nurse Specialist, first at the Royal London and more recently in North Central London.

In 2017, I earned my Asthma Diploma, followed by my Non-Medical Prescribing qualification in 2018. I was honored to receive the Nursing Times Award in 2019 for my innovative work in group consultations for children with wheeze.

With years of experience in leading nurse-led clinics in the hospital setting, I am now excited to offer personalised consultations in my local community. Viral-induced wheeze and asthma are among the most common conditions in childhood, and when not managed properly, they can have a significant impact on a child’s life and those who care for them. My goal is to provide families with the tools and guidance to better manage these conditions.

In addition to my clinical work, I am an Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) and Tracheostomy Basic Life Support (BLS) instructor, and I recently became an EPALS instructor to expand my teaching capabilities.

I am passionate about empowering both families and professionals with the knowledge and resources needed to improve children’s respiratory health
